15 Years Anniversary

The sun shone and the crowds arrived on Saturday for our Family Fun Day to celebrate 15 Years of Bakers Waste and witness the official opening of our head office in Leicester.

Leicester Riders captain, Tyler Bernardini, was on hand to cut the ribbon alongside our very own Paul Baker, who was also presented with a stunning cake in the shape of our headquarters.

Leicester RidersFriends, family, customers, suppliers and the wider local community arrived in the blistering sunshine to enjoy an afternoon of fun put on by our very own Bakers’ team.

Sweet Stall_FlowersOur bouncy skip was a big hit with the little ones whilst free ice cream helped cool our guests down as the thermostat began to climb. A selection of garden games, children’s entertainer Lisa Lolly with face painting, balloon modelling and a magic show alongside a sweet cart, built by our very own caretaker Malc, filled with all of the favourite sweets and treats ensured a great afternoon was enjoyed by all.

General4Our brand new refuse truck, emblazoned with a special 15 year badge, was also on show, with guests clambering on board to take a closer look inside the cab and taking great joy in sounding the horn!

Trade 15 Year TruckWe were delighted to welcome the Leicester Riders to join our celebration as, alongside Tyler being on hand to officially open the office and pose for photos with fans, they also brought along the three trophies won over the course of the last season, which was a real attraction for the guests.

Leicester Riders TrophiesIn addition to celebrating our 15th anniversary and the opening of our new headquarters, we also wanted to use the occasion to raise money for charity so held a raffle in aid of Cancer Research UK. We are incredibly grateful to Leicester City Football Club, Leicester Tigers, Leicester Riders, Donington Park, The Entertainer Toy Store and WorkStuff UK for their very generous prize donations.

Thanks to everyone who came along to celebrate with us, a fantastic afternoon was had by all. Here’s to the next 15 years of Bakers Waste.
