Landfill Taxes to Rise

Landfill taxes are set to rise by £8 per tonne in April 2009. This will be a significant charge on all businesses that generate even moderate amounts of waste.

However, Bakers Waste Services new waste recycling facility at Wharf Way, Glen Parva, means that more waste can be recycled, leading to less waste ending up in landfill. In turn, this means that Bakers Waste Services can help businesses save money.
