The second event that we are hosting as part of the Leicester Business Festival sees us team up with Nuneaton based Cyber Security experts Intaforensics to run a session on how businesses can protect themselves against the threat of identity, data and cyber-crime.
Held at Bakers Waste head office, 70 Boston Road, Leicester, on Thursday 2nd November between 10am and 1pm, in addition to providing plenty of information on protecting confidential material, the session will also be an opportunity for those attending to discuss their own business and the threats they face.
Traditional Risks of Identity & Data Crime
Despite the growing threat of cyber-crime, it is important not to neglect the efforts your business goes to when it comes to traditional data protection in the form of paperwork, invoices and the like.
This is the part of the session where we at Bakers Waste will identify the risks that are apparent in today’s business environment ahead of highlighting the ways in which you can keep all information protected and then disposed of in the correct manner.
We’ll then invite all those in attendance down to view a shredding demonstration in our mobile shredding vehicle where you’ll be able to see just how easy the process can be for your business.
Protecting Against Cyber Crime
The next stage of the session looks at the ever increasing risks of cyber-crime to businesses and will be led by the experts from Intaforensics.
The team will discuss the growing problems associated with cyber-crime and the lengths hackers are going to in order to access information. They will then perform a live hack on a website to showcase how easy it can be without the right preventative measures in place before supplying you with hints and tips on what you can do in-house to protect your business.
The session will close with an open question and answer session alongside a short networking period to discuss the events of the session with others in attendance.
