What Can Go In My Hardcore Skip?
Essentially a hardcore skip is very similar to our Inert skip but without the soil and garden bits, if you want a skip that can do both then please use our ‘Soil & Bricks’ skip option.
Things that are acceptable to go into our hardcore skip include Bricks, Rocks, Stone, and anything that is big, heavy, and of a bulky nature really.
What Can’t Go In My Hardcore Skip?
As with all of our skips, there is a small list of items we ask you not to put in the skips. The reason we have these items is usually due to having no way to dispose of them or a council and regulations issue.
- Wet Concrete
- Hazardous Waste (Paints, Solvents, Etc.)
- Electrical Items
- Wood (Please use our Wood or General Waste skip for this!)
- Soil & Garden Waste (Please use our Soil & Bricks skip for this!)
To be more specific…
I completely understand that by reading the list above, there are some vague points such as liquids and electricals, so I’m going to clear them up for you now.
This entails absolutely ALL liquids including water, oil, paint, dye ect. This is because if it drips out of the skip onto the road, the local council won’t be too happy!
This means ALL electrical items, anything with a plug or that takes batteries cannot go in the skips. This means you will have to find somewhere else for your old fridge or lamp.
