What can go in my inert waste skip?

Well, first of all, you might be wondering, what is inert?

Inert entails all kinds of soil and bricks. If you’re doing a project in your garden or maybe knocking a wall or two down, this skip is for you. designed for any soil, rocks, stone, bricks ect.

What Can’t Go In My Inert Skip?

  • Wet Concrete
  • Hazardous Waste (Paints, Solvents, Etc.)
  • Carpet
  • Electrical Items
  • Mattresses
  • Liquids
  • Tires
  • Food
  • Wood (Please use our General Waste or Wood Skip for this)

I completely understand that by reading the list above, there are some vague points such as liquids and electricals, so I’m going to clear them up for you now.

Liquids :

This entails absolutely ALL liquids including water, oil, paint, dye ect. This is because if it drips out of the skip onto the road, the local council won’t be too happy!

Electrical Items:

This means ALL electrical items, anything with a plug or that takes batteries cannot go in the skips. This means you will have to find somewhere else for your old fridge or lamp.

Other waste disposal options

If an inert skip doesn’t seem like the most suitable option for you, then please find out the range of other skip and waste container options here.
